The Apprentice’s Role
March Hair are looking to take on one Hairdressing apprentices to join their busy team in Yelverton.
Throughout your apprenticeship you will be given duties such as booking appointments, shampooing, conditioning, drying and styling hair. Along with mixing and applying hair colouring.
You’ll study hairdressing topics such as hair and skin testing, the effects of chemicals on hair and skin, and the principles of hair colour selection – there’s also the option to learn about promoting products, perming, and working with different hair types.
The salon experience generally starts at the hands of the apprentice; learning the art of scalp massage will help put your client at ease and ready for their cut.
Duties are likely to include blow drying, booking appointments, shampooing, conditioning, drying and styling hair, and mixing and applying hair colouring. You’ll study hairdressing topics such as hair and skin testing, the effects of chemicals on hair and skin, and the principles of hair colour selection – there’s also the option to learn about promoting products, perming, and working with different hair types.
Working Hours: The successful candidate will be working between 30 and 40 hours per week (5days).
Wages: £8.00 per hour
Holiday: You will be entitled to 28 days holiday, including bank holidays, will be paid each year, during the course of your apprenticeship.
