“Once I’d completed my A Levels, I wanted to start working so the apprenticeship route was the perfect choice. Learning new skills whilst developing a career for life is so exciting, everything I’m learning and practising day to day is setting me up for a great career once I finish.

I learnt basic hairdressing skills and also completed certificates in Health and Safety and First Aid amongst other things, so by the time I had completed the course, I was prepared to go into a real working salon.

It completely confirmed that this was the route I wanted to go down and therefore made starting the apprenticeship a really positive experience.

They have given me so many opportunities – I have already been put forward for Learner of the Year in Concept Mag and booked onto several masterclasses with London brands. My customer service skills have really developed and I am confident talking with clients now – which I never thought I would be!
