Kyle Attridge is looking to take on an Apprentice Bricklayer to join his team. Kyle works on various construction sites throughout Devon and Cornwall, predominantly on new Builds.
The Apprentice’s Role
The apprentice will receive full training and support throughout, both on site and at the Skills Group training centre throughout their apprenticeship.
The role involves working as part of a team, so the opportunity to learn and gain experience from the more senior members of the team, will help to support the ongoing training. Due to the nature of the work, a CSCS card is required to be able to get onto the building site, training on this will be given if you pass the interview stage with Skills Group. Attendance at Skills Group Training Centre on a weekly basis will be required to undertake a Level 2 Standard Bricklayer. This will be regularly monitored and reviewed.
Work duties will include:
Working Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm. This may vary slightly depending on workload and travel time.
Wages: £256 per week, potentially increasing with performance related pay reviews throughout your apprenticeships.
Holiday: 28 days holiday entitlement (including bank holidays) will be paid each year, during the course of your apprenticeship.
Kyle Attridge is a local man and has been in the trade for over 10 years. More recently Kyle has been involved in a lot of site work in and around Plymouth, but sometimes has worked further north into Exeter and then further south in to Cornwall. Kyle has a small team, most of which have progressed through the Apprenticeship programme and are now either Self Employed Bricklayers or still working under Kyle. Kyle has always found his job to be hardwork, yet very rewarding, as you get to see the houses in Plymouth which you have built and can say that your workmanship has been a part of the big build.
On completion of your Level 2 apprenticeship, an opportunity to apply for a full time post with Kyle may be offered to the right candidate or you will be able to become a Self-Employed Bricklayer.
