Opportunity for an upbeat enthusiastic person to join Boston’s Garage Equipment’s growing and dynamic company in the field of garage and workshop equipment.

Must have

  • Excellent written English and good use of grammar
  • Able to work carefully and with attention to detail
  • Confident in speaking with others and excellent telephone manner
  • Punctual, polite and presentable essential
  • Achieved Grade 4 or above in English and Maths

Duties would include

  • To learn and understand the product range
  • Answer incoming telephone calls when required
  • Customer invoicing
  • Paperwork filing
  • Assist the service department and site engineers when necessary
  • Assist their national agents and distributors when necessary
  • Assist with day-to-day processing of required equipment
  • Other miscellaneous office duties as required

This role is Monday to Friday.

Boston Garage Equipment is one of the leading suppliers to the MOT and garage equipment industry. There is a new branch in Plymouth who assist with the South West.

A full-time job may be offered to the right candidate on completion of their apprenticeship for either an administrator or should the candidate wish they can do further training.

The Apprenticeship consists of:

  • Level 3 Business Administration Standard

You will attend sessions as part of your off the job training throughout your apprenticeship. Most aspects of your training will be delivered on site by the employer, where you will gain all the skills, knowledge and experience to assist you in this role. Your duties will vary from day to day, and throughout your on site learning process you will work closely with experienced members of staff.

You will have regular visits from your designated assessor, who will help you and monitor your progress throughout your apprenticeship programme

In a classroom, you only interact with your classmates, but through working you develop your people skills as you interact with customers on a daily basis. At school, you are closely monitored and parented, however I am now more independent and feel grown up
