“Working on my Level 2 Carpentry Apprenticeship at M Griffiths Carpentry. I always enjoyed woodwork and wanted to start a career in carpentry. However, I couldn’t find a suitable course at college and there are no A-Levels in carpentry. Since starting my apprenticeship, I’ve developed lots of hands skills and have learnt how to use power tools through watching my boss work; it’s an effective way of learning.
“An apprenticeship is a huge change from school and you have to train yourself to get up earlier and adapt to working life. Through my salary, I’m saving up for my own tools to use for projects at home, and I’m also saving for driving lessons”.
