Lyanne Morrow became a proud business owner of Brook Hair and Beauty in 2007 when she converted an old Post Office in St Maurice into a modern hair and beauty salon.

Lyanne trained as a nail technician in 2004 with CND. She quickly gained a large clientele and as her demand grew stronger it led her to open her own salon. Since then she has broadened her range of knowledge in the hair and beauty industry gaining many qualifications including hairdressing, waxing, HD Brows, Derma planing and Microblading.

As the salon progressed, in 2008 she hired a manager, Lora Downend. Lora started hairdressing in 2003 and has gained an NVQ 2 and 3 in hairdressing. Lora specialised as a colour technician for a while before deciding to pass on her knowledge to the next generation of hairdressers by working as an NVQ trainer and assessor.

Lora worked for Lyanne for 7 years before starting a partnership together in 2014. This prompted the salon’s expansion and rebrand and Salon at No 6 ltd was born. The salon boasts 11 hair stations, 3 massage wash basins, 2 nail stations and 2 treatment rooms. The salon prides itself on excellent customer service, quality of work and continual professional development.

Salon at No 6 ensure our stylists and beauty therapists are always up-to-date with the latest trends and styles.
