This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice to work and support the campaigns manager with general administration tasks in Plymouth.

The Apprentice’s Role

The job description is as follows:

• Provide support and assistance in general project tasks.
• Aid preparation for monthly events and exhibitions.
• Create and send invitations for events and ensure delegate requirements are met.
• Proactively publicise Ventro and OmniZone through maintaining existing relationships and developing new contacts.
• Create engaging content for social media platforms for Ventro and OmniZone.
• Support campaign management enforced by social media to drive traffic to company websites, execute company campaigns in-line with the business sector and its services.
• Respond appropriately to comments and messages received through our social media channels and provide assistance where necessary.
• Generate business cards and ID cards when required (templates provided)
• Create and update company signatures when required.
• Order merchandise and staff uniform when required.
• Respond to marketing enquiries and record details for future reference.
• Creation of outdoor site banners.
• Adhoc tasks such as answering the telephone.

Working Hours: The working hours will be 40 hours per week, working form 8am – 5pm.

Wages: £180.00 per week, based on a 40 hour week. Any overtime above the 40 hours per week, will be paid at the appropriate national minimum wage depending on age.

Holiday: 28 days holiday entitlement (including bank holidays) will be paid each year, during the course of your apprenticeship.

Skills Required

The successful candidate will have good communication skills with the ability to multi-task. In addition, you will have knowledge and confidence in using a variety of IT applications and effective keyboard skills and the ability to effectively prioritise workload and work to deadlines.

You will be organised, hard-working and reliable. You have a strong work ethic and be able to work independently as well as being an effective team member.

Prior Qualifications

GCSE grades A*-C or equivalent is preferred but not required.

The Apprenticeship in Level 3 Business Administration consists of:

  • Level 3 Business Administrator Standard
  • Functional Skills in Maths and English

You will attend monthly sessions as part of your off the job training throughout your apprenticeship. Most aspects of your training will be delivered on site by the employer, where you will gain all the skills, knowledge and experience to assist you in this role. Your duties will vary from day to day, and throughout your on site learning process you will work closely with experienced members of staff.

You will have regular visits every six to eight weeks from your designated assessor, who will help you and monitor your progress throughout your apprenticeship programme.
