An exciting business opportunity to assist in all the day to day runnings of a local Construction firm based in central Plymouth.

The Apprentice’s Role

The successful apprentice will be taking responsibility for the following:

-Taking and recording phone calls
-Passing messages via email
-Programming and booking in works for our external team through our IT systems
-Job costings
-Keeping work station tidy

As the role progresses we would like to show the successful apprentice our sage accounting and sage pay roll to give the apprentice more of a varied job role.

Working Hours: The working hours will be 40 hours per week, specific working hours will be discussed on interview.

Wages: £200.00 per week, based on a 40 hour week. Any overtime above the 40 hours per week, will be paid at the appropriate national minimum wage depending on age.

Holiday: 28 days holiday entitlement (including bank holidays) will be paid each year, during the course of your apprenticeship.

Skills Required

- Good knowledge of Microsoft office, particularly Excel and Outlook. – Good organisational skills – Good written and verbal communication skills

Prior Qualifications

C grade or above in Maths and English GCSE.

The Apprenticeship in Level 3 Business Administration consists of:

Level 3 Business Administrator Standard
Functional Skills in Maths and English

You will attend monthly sessions as part of your off the job training throughout your apprenticeship. Most aspects of your training will be delivered on site by the employer, where you will gain all the skills, knowledge and experience to assist you in this role. Your duties will vary from day to day, and throughout your on site learning process you will work closely with experienced members of staff.

You will have regular visits every six to eight weeks from your designated assessor, who will help you and monitor your progress throughout your apprenticeship programme.
